Summary:
Design, layout, and test advanced high-speed (HS, through ~5-10 GHz) analog and mixed-signal circuits and systems, e.g. data converters, DDS, small interface circuits.

Key Requirements:

Analog/mixed-signal integrated circuit and/or module design and test experience
Design through test of high-speed (GHz) ADCs, DACs, or related circuitry in advanced BJT or BiCMOS processes
Strong circuit design and analysis skills using CAD tools such as Cadence Spectre or Spectre RF and Matlab or Mathcad.
HS bench/testing experience with spectrum/network/logic analyzers/o’scopes, etc.
BSEE + 3 years experience
US Citizenship is a MUST!
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

MSEE and 2+ years experience
High-speed encoded-flash and DS data converter (ADC/DAC) design experience
Clock recovery/PLL/DLL design experience a plus
Custom IC design and layout using Cadence software tools
Familiar with s-parameters, matching networks, transmission lines, etc.
Experience with Columbus AMS a plus
IC testing experience using manual (e.g., Cascade Microtech) probe station and probes
Familiar with Verilog/VHDL and mixed-signal design techniques
Familiar with Xilinx design and use
Project management

Responsibilities:

Custom HS analog/MS IC/module design, layout and test
- design using Cadence Spectre, SpectreRF, Columbus AMS, Sonnet
- lead/assist IC/PCB layout designers
- develop test setups and test custom parts
Assist in corporate marketing efforts
- assist in identifying and writing proposals (typ. SBIR)
- support customer interface (meetings, design reviews) and marketing
